I’ve always loved color and
design. As a child I drew and as an adult I have focused on fiber
art; dying and printing on cloth transformed into clothing and wall
pieces. Recently, I’ve been combining found objects and
fiber art techniques with handmade paper to create assemblage pieces.
I also enjoy designing and crafting beaded jewelry, sometimes
combined with a new medium, silver metal clay.
In 2001 I opened RoseMinn Gallery, here in
Elgin, where I feature local art, fiber art, framing and jewelry.

My work is an assemblage of found objects, cloth
and paper. I use techniques founded in the traditions of quilt
making, needlework and textile design. Various forms of printing,
dyeing, painting and stitching find their way into my work, rooted in
old techniques and design but in a contemporary form.
