With the unique ability to fix a
personality on film, Sonia Browder's images give you the sense you can
see the very souls of her subjects. Even her portrayal of inanimate
objects make you want to ask the why. Sonia's experience is
ranged from the cooing eyes of a baby to the humor in the eyes of
an old man laughing!
She is a photographer who runs her
own photography business and also works as a partner in the locally
owned graphic design firm Enye Creative. She is bilingual. Her
photography is marketed for personal and commercial use. Sonia's
photographs have appeared in various media; posters, invitations,
publications, cds, flyers, brochures, postcards and websites. She also
photographs portraits, events and gatherings, working in both color
& black and white,
Her Hispanic heritage brings a
seemingly natural feel for color and flare. "Sitting" for a
picture with Sonia is more like a moving. Her moving expressions
capture life as it is not as it is posed.
As a photojournalist, Sonia knows the best
photographs are felt. They spark a connection between the subject, the
photographer and the viewer. They require a need to react on instinct.
Clearer sharper emotions. Images as easy to feel as they are to see.
Born in Elgin, Sonia Browder grew up mostly
in West Texas returning to Central Texas in 1983. Her background in
photography began while working for graphic design studios and
commercial photographers. She witnessed the design development of a
great photo and shared the experience of a great take! Not too
long after, she became a mother and her photography took on a
whole different twist. Understanding the life her love of photography
could now take, a newborn gave life to Sonia's photography. Her love
for her children began a great photography adventure. Sonia's prints
invite the viewer to feel and see the fine art of life's experiences
through warm, expressive faces to the grand details of the world that
surrounds us.
